Qatar History

In Qatar History and Citizenship, children embark on a fascinating journey to acquire a deep understanding of information, knowledge, values, and the foundation of critical thinking that will shape their character as proud citizens of Qatar. They are encouraged to think critically, to question, investigate, connect, interpret, and evaluate.

It's not just about history and facts. It's about fostering a sense of belonging, not only to our beautiful country but to the wider world. Our students will come to understand Qatar's pivotal role in the Gulf region and its global significance. They will delve into the intricacies of Qatar's economic and social activities and discover the workings of our relationships with other countries and international organizations.

The teaching of Qatar's History and Citizenship is a dynamic process that weaves together various skills and competences, encompassing language, ICT, religion, literature, science, as well as the Qatar Culture Project. We strive to bring the lessons to life, making the learning experience engaging and interactive. Native Arabic speakers will be taught Qatar History and Citizenship in Arabic, following the guidelines set by the Ministry of Education. This approach ensures that students receive culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate education in line with national standards.

At Mesaieed International Primary School, we've made it our mission to deliver the Qatar History & Citizenship curriculum as guided by the MoEHE, ensuring that students from Year 1 to Year 6 explore the rich tapestry of Qatar's past and the world once a week. It's a journey of discovery, growth, and an unbreakable bond with our homeland and the global community.
