MIS Uniform
MIS Student Uniform Requirements - 2024-2025
Introduction
It is our policy that all students wear school uniform when attending school, or when participating in
school-organised events outside normal school hours. Uniform can be bought at local shops including
supermarkets. In addition, Ascot Uniforms stock most items uniform.
Aims
We believe that a school uniform is important because it:
• Identifies the students with the school
• Helps to create a sense of community and belonging
• Gives a sense of pride and common purpose
• Looks smart
• Makes students feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance
We ask that all students wear uniform and encourage them to maintain a good standard of clean and tidy
dress in school.
Policy
The uniform requirements for EYFS, Primary and Secondary will be published on both MIS and DES school
websites and updated as required. Parents may be reminded of the uniform requirements at regular
intervals throughout the year.
Any items supplied by the school (e.g., ties, book bags) will need to be replaced at the parent’s expense
if lost or damaged.
In the case of any required arbitration, the final decision of what is acceptable remains with the school. If
a student’s appearance is deemed inappropriate by the school principal and or heads of school, parents
will be contacted to resolve the issue.
Failure to comply with uniform requirements will result in school age-appropriate sanctions for all students
(e.g., break time or afterschool detention)
Monitoring and Review
The uniform requirements will be reviewed annually and updated in accordance with MoEHE guidelines.
