 Year 11

Key Stage 4 - Year 11

Year 11 is the most important year in school, concluding with the IGCSE examination in May and June. In some subjects exams take place as early as March and April. Year 11 is also very important as the students prepare for the transition from school to sixth form. Making the correct choices for their AS Levels towards the end of Year 11 enables the students to go on to University or work.

This is a demanding and challenging year. Keeping up to date with homework and meeting deadlines in their subjects will be vital. Good planning and organisation will enable students to meet the challenges of a demanding workload.

As part of the pastoral program we support and encourage our students to examine their strengths and weaknesses and to plan appropriately for their futures. Through discussion with their subject teachers, form tutors and myself we encourage our pupils to aim high and to challenge themselves to reach their potential.

I hope all the students in Year 11 achieve the grades they want and deserve in the upcoming IGCSE examinations.
