Key Stage 5 - Business Studies

Cambridge International AS and A Level Business

Vision: Technology in Teaching: A Pioneering Learner-Led Faculty.

We want to ensure the use of technology in teaching and learning is at the heart of everything we do. Our extensive curriculum is highly Technical, creative, analytical, practical and up to date.

The Business enables learners to understand and appreciate the nature and scope of business, and the role it plays in society. The syllabus covers economic, environmental, ethical, governmental, legal, social and technological issues, and encourages a critical understanding of organizations, the markets they serve and the process of adding value.

The ability to make mature judgments' is the key to success for students at A Level.

Students need to think through problems, being aware of the importance of making a judgments and not leaving answers open ended.

Students develop a wide range of business skills together with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of business. Students develop:

·         An understanding of how organizations operate.

·         Strong communication skills (oral and written)

·         Analytical and critical thinking skills.

·         Problem solving skills.

·         Decision making skills and Evaluative skills.

·         Logical thinking skills.

·         Presentation and report writing skills.
