Key Stage 4 Assessment

Students enter Key Stage Four having completed end of year 9 examinations and the cognitive ability INSIGHT tests. These provide valuable academic information including predictions for I/GCSE grades.

During the two year I/GCSE course there is continuous assessment of student progress through regular subject testing every half term. There are (internal)end of year examinations in Year 10 and mock examinations in January of  Year 11. The final external examinations are taken in May/June of Year 11 and set by the examination boards to which we subscribe, Cambridge International Examinations and Edexcel.

Grades are awarded in line with GCSE grades A*-G and progress reports are issued termly with a final end of year report issued in June.
